All About Me
If I were to describe myself in three words, I would tell you I am passionate, courageous and incredibly curious. I have had an exceptional career with proven success in consulting in Canada and the U.S., banking, insurance and standing up a new regulatory agency. I am inspired by ambitious strategies and transformational agendas and I like to generate success.
My career began in pension consulting. I had the opportunity to move to New York City in my late twenties and work with multinationals on global projects. What a fabulous professional and personal development experience!
From consulting, I transitioned to the corporate world gaining first-hand experience in strategy development and implementation, risk management, change management, stakeholder buy-in, corporate governance, leadership and performance monitoring. I held a number of positions over my nearly 15 years in banking and insurance ranging from Head of Pensions & Benefits globally, Head of HR, Head of Insurance Investments and Head of a Business Line.
With a solid and well-rounded background as a people leader and pension expert, I then stood up a new regulatory agency in Ontario as the Executive Vice-President for the Pension sector supervising over 4,000 pension plans. This was a unique opportunity to lead a significant cultural transformation, deliver on a new value proposition, work closely with the government on policy matters - particularly during the pandemic, and to educate the public about the value of a pension with the launch of the inaugural Pension Awareness Day in 2023.
In 2024, I launched The Pension Project to educate, inspire and empower women to dream boldly, live fully and create their 100-year life. I publish weekly videos on YouTube and Instagram @thepensionproject sharing relevant information and research insights about all things pensions and longevity.
